Retention Periods

Maltego Evidence offers you the option of defining deletion periods for collected data. These deletion periods can be defined by the administrator and are then applied system-wide.

During data collection, there are 2 different data categories within Maltego Evidence.

The first category is "target". These are the profiles from which data is collected directly. Within the configuration menu, these profiles are called "target".

The second category includes all profiles from social networks that are also saved during data collection for the target. These are friends, contacts, commenting, rating or linked profiles. These profiles are called "Others" in the configuration menu.

For each data collection, the user must specify which deletion periods are to be applied in this case. The administrator can define these deletion periods here.

The default value for both categories can also be defined here.

Costs can be specified in years, months or days.

With "Add new retention period" you can create further deletion period specifications. These must be confirmed with "Save Changes".

If you want to undo your changes, you can do this with "Revert Changes".
